Local author Arleen Faustina (left) donates her recent book “A Little Gumbo in Her Face” to the Williamsburg Regional Library. Circulation Services Director Alicia Phinney accepts the gift. Following a series of difficult events, a psychiatrist specializing in PTSD, makes the move from New York to New Orleans, carrying with her not only her grief but also the mystery of her famous mother’s hidden past. The author earned a Ph.D. in psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans. Her specialization in PTSD lends her writing authenticity and her love of New Orleans pervades the story. Dr. Faustina lives in Virginia. This title will be added to the Local Authors Project collection at the library. For more information call 757.259.4042.
